On March 6, we mark 20 years of the Declaration on Principles of Friendly Relations and Partnership between Nigeria and Russia, which was signed during President Olusegun Obasanjo’s visit to Moscow. Since then, Russian-Nigerian relations have surged ahead in all spheres.
Due to the public holidays in the Russian Federation, the consular section of the Embassy will be closed for applications on February 22-23 and March 8, 2021.

On September 4, 2020, the Ambassador of Russia to Nigeria H.E. Alexey Shebarshin met with the Honourable Minister of Health of Nigeria H.E. Osagie Ehanire to introduce recently achieved outcomes of Russian COVID-19 vaccine “Sputnik V” research and development.
