ON THE RUSSIA NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION
June 11, the Russian Embassy in Abuja hosted a solemn reception on the occasion of the Russia National Day. In attendance were ambassadors, leaders of Nigerian ministries, governmental bodies, captains of business, graduates of Soviet / Russian universities, compatriots.
The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Nigeria, A.Shebarshin, stressed the major role of ‘the unity in diversity’ that evolved during the thousand-year history of our country and became a cornerstone of the Russian national identity. He emphasized the unwavering friendly nature of the bilateral relations and expressed hope for their further development. He congratulated the guests with the FIFA World Cup commencement that promises positive emotions for spectators and fans all over the world.
